Our mountain training days are designed specifically to complement your training for adventure walking challenges such as the UK 3 Peaks or the Welsh 3000s. Guided by our experienced Mountain Leader, you'll spend a day on the hills getting a feel for the epic challenge ahead, as well as test out your boots and equipment.
Following a briefing on the route and the equipment, you'll set off for a full day (6 to 7 hours) of walking! Your instructor will keep you smiling throughout the day as well as share their expert knowledge with you. This full day of walking is ideal for testing and improving your fitness and endurance. At the end of the day, your mountain leader will provide individual debriefs and a personal action plan for further training.
We run our mountain training days in various locations around the country. All of them have their own unique geography, bringing a variety of terrains and landscapes to aid your preparation – so you may wish to book on multiple training days to boost your readiness for your mountain challenge.
These mountain fitness training days are brilliant for all adventure challengers and we would recommend them for all those who are attempting a walking challenge in the future, like the Yorkshire 3 Peaks or the Lakes 24 Peaks. However, you don't necessarily need to be in training for a large mountaineering challenge to book on, as they're also suitable for those wishing to try mountain walking for the day or to test and improve their fitness with a view undertaking a walking challenge in the future.
